The Colac Community Enterprise recently provided $1,000 to the Colac L2P programme.  The programme assists learners aged 16-21 years who do not have access to a supervising driver or vehicle to gain the driving experience required to apply for a probationary license.  Learner drivers are matched with fully licensed community members who act in the role of supervising driver.  Using a vehicle solely for the purpose of the program, the learner driver and their mentor drive at least once a week to gain 120 hours of driving practice.  The program focuses on road safety and has a strong mentoring element.
